What's the news?
Fiat is harking back to the roots of the 500 by introducing the 'Colour Therapy' range to its city car. Positioned between the Pop and Lounge models, a selection of vibrant colours with white detailing are designed to take the current 500 back to the original of the '70s.
Exterior
The new spec is available in both hatchback and convertible guise; and each model comes with white wheel trims and door mirror covers. Five special colours have been introduced for the Colour Therapy, including Countrypolitan Yellow, Pasodoble Red and Volare Blue.
Interior
Due to the retro-modern standard finish of the 500's cabin, not a lot has changed with the new spec. A 'poolball' style gear knob and specially designed key cover are the only things that are different to the standard model.
Mechanicals
The new styling pack is available on all models with both the 0.9-litre TwinAir and 1.2-litre petrol engines.
Anything else?
Priced from £10,760, the Colour Therapy is £800 more than the entry-level Pop model; despite having £1,000 worth of extra equipment. A new marketing campaign together with new advertisements has also been designed under the supervision of fashion and beauty photographer Elisabeth Hoff. The adverts include classic '70s style 'colour-blocking', and feature slogans such as 'You Dig?' and 'Far Out'. Elena Bernardelli, Marketing Director for Fiat Group Automobiles UK says, "The special colours and touches with make the 500 even more attractive; and will show our customers just how timeless this classic really is."
