Amazingly it would appear that an entire eleven days have passed since MINI last announced a special edition car named after a random part of London. Fearful that something untoward may have happened
Car Enthusiast was just about to call the authorities when news of the new MINI Highgate hit our inbox. Phew!
As you would expect of a car named after one of the most exclusive London suburbs the MINI Highgate features a raft of changes said to give the drop-top convertible a more 'premium appeal.' Foremost amongst these is the exclusive 'Iced Chocolate' metallic paint that is beautifully offset by the 'Slivertouched Truffle' roof fabric and truffle bonnet stripes complete with blue edging. All very Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
The silly colour names continue inside where the seats are finished in 'Dark Truffle' leather complete with blue piping and contrasting stitching while the dashboard is finished in 'Sun-Touched Brushed Alloy'. Fitted with MINI's Chili pack as standard the Highgate boasts air conditioning, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a multi-function steering wheel, multi-coloured interior lights and extensive use of the Highgate name throughout the cabin.
Offered in four engine options - Cooper 122hp, 184hp Cooper S, 112hp Cooper D and 143hp Cooper SD - the MINI Highgate is available to order now from £21,300.
