If you were (un)lucky (delete where appropriate) enough to be born with a Y chromosome look away now!
With the notable exception of the Racing variant the Citroën DS3 has never been the most 'manly' of cars but the latest variant - the Ultra Prestige - is aimed so squarely at women that we are surprised it does not come with a make-up case as standard.
The DS3 Ultra Prestige is based on the already fairly high spec DSport trim level but adds unique touches such as Citroën's integrated MyWay colour satellite navigation system, rear parking sensors, automatic headlamps and windscreen wipers, electrically heated and folding door mirrors and an electrochromatic rear view mirror. The interior of the Ultra Prestige is also fitted with 'Alpine' white leather on the dash, door panels and armrest and white dials that match the rest of the interior. The DS exclusive 'watchstrap' seat upholstery is finished in 'Club' leather that transitions from white to black in a crescendo effect. Apparently the process comes directly from the world of fashion...
Externally, the Ultra Prestige is offered in a choice of two colours - Polar White and Thorium Grey - and features a sports spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows and a black roof complete with the DS insignia. There is also a 'Dark Chrome Signature' option that adds black door mirrors with dark chrome base, dark chrome side rubbing strips, front grille surround, front fog light surrounds and an insert on the rear number plate moulding.
Power for the DS3 Ultra Prestige is provided by either a 155hp THP petrol engine or a 100hp e-HDI diesel with both mated to six-speed manual transmissions. Prices for the DS3 Ultra Prestige start at £20,700 for the petrol model with the diesel powered variant commanding a £200 premium.
