If you park your car on the busy streets of the nation you may meet the T-Mobile Meter Maids. These magenta clad angels have been sent from above to make the lives of the oppressed motorists that little bit easier by helping them avoid parking penalties.
"Nobody likes returning to their car to find a gleaming yellow fine stuck to the windscreen so we've drafted in the T-Mobile Meter Maids to help local motorists out and give them a nice surprise," said Spencer McHugh, Director of Brand for T-Mobile. "We also wanted to demonstrate in a fun and engaging way T-Mobile's new plan, You Fix, which helps customers ensure they never get a surprise bill at the end of the month."
The Meter Maids have already been to Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and London, and over the next week will be stationed in Britain's busiest car parks and streets, where they'll be helping local motorists by providing change for parking meters, informing drivers if they are in breach of local parking regulations, letting drivers know where they can legally park and alerting them to vacant parking spots. Motorists can also avail of a Fine Alert Service whereby the Meter Maids will send a free text reminding them to return to their cars when they have 10 minutes left on their ticket.
T-Mobile Meter Maid, Faye, says, "We hope that by being out and about on some of the most ticketed streets we can stop motorists getting any nasty surprises. We might even get to distract a few parking attendants in the process."
