What is it?
The latest itineration of the Lexus GS. Sharper, cleaner and more powerful than the car it replaces, it's powered by a V6 petrol engine and a pair of motors, so it's a hybrid in the traditional sense. Lexus is promising very low emissions for a luxury car of this size along with performance that's on par with V8-engined rivals.
Why is here?
We first saw the new GS about a month or so back at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California. Now it's made its way to Europe to show off the new technology and looks over here.
Show stopper or floor filler?
There's plenty of new gadgetry lurking underneath, the majority of which is designed to make the GS cleaner and more luxurious. It also looks a lot more fresh and appealing than the rather tubby current model.
