What is it?
A facelifted version of the perennial Hilux. It's more comfortable and has revised D-4D engines to comply with Euro 5 emissions standards.
Why's it here?
Having shifted 13 million units since it was first launched, the Hilux is the best-selling vehicle in its segment. Toyota aims to expand on this with the new car being offered to 135 markets. Revisions to the D-4D engines see a lowering of CO
2 emissions and increase in fuel economy, too.
Show stopper or floor filler?
Despite being such a big seller, the new Hilux unfortunately falls between the cracks at Frankfurt.
