What is it?
A BMW 6 series convertible with Hamman's own unique twist. Additions include a full body-kit, alloy wheels, lowered suspension and a sports exhaust with four tailpipes flowing out of an uprated 503bhp V8 engine. Being a Hamann product, the interior features lots of leather and Alcantara and on request all of the wooden trim can be replaced with aluminium accents.
Why's it here?
Tuning and styling houses are as much a part of the Frankfurt Motor Show as the manufacturers. Offering individualisation that manufacturers can rarely match, they appeal to owners who like to stand out from the crowd and with Hamann's styling, the 6 Series certainly does.
Show stopper or floor filler?
While the looks aren't in the same league as similar offerings from AC Schnitzer, the Hamann 6 does show what is achievable with the big coupe.
