The Ford Fiesta Zetec S is already one of the most entertaining warm hatches you can lay your hands on, but now Superchips has warmed up the Ford to extract an extra 10bhp.
That doesn't sound like much, but when the original output is a modest 118bhp, a modest increase makes all the difference. Superchips does it by remapping the 1.6-litre engine's ECU, which makes the extra power accessible all the way from 2,500rpm up to the 6,750rpm rev limit.
Just as welcome is the fact that the Fiesta's fuel economy remains unchanged, so it will return 48mpg on average when driven normally.
The Superchips upgrade for the Fiesta Zetec S costs £249 and is available for all models built from October 2008 onwards.
