The greenest brand in the world is Toyota, according to a survey by Interbrand for the Best Global Green Brands rankings.
Using a green performance score, the survey collected data on companies from around the world and Toyota topped the score board with 64.19 points. The Japanese firm pipped global giant 3M to take the top spot.
Among the efforts of Toyota that helped it to its number one position in the survey were its hybrid cars, sustainable approach to production and the installation of solar walls at its factory in Valenciennes, France. Toyota has also installed wind turbines at its logistics centre in Zeebrugge, Belgium.
