Goodwood's Revival is never short on great engine sounds, but the 2011 event is set to reverberate to the sound of a dozen Spitfire fighters.
The Revival meeting will see 12 of the famous World War II fighter planes flying overhead, reminding the crowds that Goodwood Aerodrome was once an active Spitfire.
As well as aerial displays throughout the weekend, which runs from 16-18 September, there will a fly past of all 12 Spitfires on the Sunday afternoon.
Along with the action in the skies, the Goodwood Revival meeting sees the world's best classic racing cars being driven by drivers from every generation.
