Audi is working on its own hot version of the A1, but German tuning firm ABT has beaten it to the punch with its 210bhp A1.
ABT has retuned the 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine and added its own exhaust to free up 210bhp. That's enough to see the A1 from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 150mph. ABT also claims to have improved the throttle response compared to the standard A1's for a more enjoyable drive.
Also part of the ABT upgrade are 18-inch alloy wheels, twin-pipe exhaust and a body kit that comprises front and rear spoilers, side skirts and front air vents. The suspension comes in for ABT's treatment too with lowered and stiffer springs. Inside, the cabin gets a makeover with ABT upholstery and carpets.
