We all know vans are among the fastest vehicles on the motorway and now there's a new king of the road in the form of the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline.
The Sportline comes with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox and a 180bhp engine. Its spec reads more like a Golf GTI's, but the engine is a 2.0-litre turbodiesel that helps this Transporter from 0-62mph in 9.9 seconds.
To emphasise the sporty credentials of the van, it has a gloss black grille, rear spoiler, stainless steel side bars and 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear lights have also been given the smoked glass treatment.
On the inside, the Transporter Sportline has two-tone leather upholstery, air conditioning and a seven-inch touch-screen display. There's also full European coverage for the standard satellite navigation, so no excuses for not getting that package to the right address first time.
The Transporter Sportline comes in short and long wheelbase forms and prices start at £28,220 for the van version and £30,100 for the Kombi with rear windows.
