High demand for Hyundai's 2.0-litre diesel ix35 crossover has left some customers enduring long waits, forcing Hyundai into a novel solution.
The Korean company will offer the 200 longest waiting customers a 1.7-litre ix35 diesel immediately - completing any intended part exchange in the process. When their 2.0-litre diesel is delivered customers pay the difference on the larger engined car - incurring no financial penalty.
The offer closes later this month (March 2011), but Hyundai will provide £300 towards the costs incurred arranging insurance and finance on two cars, instead of one.
Hyundai's managing director Tony Whitehorn said: "Customer satisfaction is our priority and we hope that this offer of an alternative ix35 will be attractive for our longest waiting customers."
