We're fans of the Volvo C30 and it appeals even more now the Swedish firm has introduced a new entry-level model at £14,995.
Some £1,300 less than the previous cheapest Volvo C30, the ES comes with a 143bhp 2.0-litre petrol engine and five-speed manual gearbox. It also features 16-inch alloy wheels and Volvo's DSTC traction and stability system.
Other standard equipment for the ES includes climate control, electric windows, CD stereo with mp3 connector, Volvo's information centre display and six airbags.
The 2.0-litre petrol engine offers 0-62mph in 9.4 seconds and a 130mph top speed. Average fuel economy is 37.2mpg and carbon dioxide emissions are 177g/km.
