Don't let the name fool you; the Smart Forspeed, as you can see, isn't built for anything of the sort. To give Smart some credit, it does have the look of a speedster about it, and an electric one at that.
Well what do you know - it's an electric car. Yes, the Smart Forspeed has a rear mounted 40bhp electric motor capable of getting it to the unusual 0-37mph 'benchmark' in 5.5 seconds. It will hit 75mph flat out.
Drive carefully and a full charge will provide 84 miles. Though keep hitting the Sport button - which releases an extra 7bhp - and you'll grind to a halt well before that.
