What is it?
According to luxury maker Maybach, a radically new car culture will arise in the near future and we'll all travel around in electric rickshaws. That's exactly what the Maybach DRS, or Den-Riki-Sha (electric powered rickshaw, in English) is. The company also claims that it would be the world's first naturally manufactured vehicle (NMV), as it would be born from a coded DNA cocoon. Right.
What technology does it use?
Power comes courtesy of a self balancing electric drive unit and the DRS would be controlled by an onboard computer that links up to a city's transport infrastructure.
What current car would it replace?
Nothing in the current Maybach line-up. We're pretty sure that none of the company's existing cars are grown from cocoons.
