After almost a year of UK sales Peugeot has updated the 3008. There is a new diesel engine and extra standard equipment.
The new, Euro 5 compliant, HDi 112 engine replaces the old HDi 110 unit. Along with cleaner exhaust gasses, the new engine promises lower CO2 emissions (now 135g/km) and improved fuel economy.
Both the Sport and Exclusive versions now come with more standard equipment. The former includes Peugeot Connect USB, which supports MP3 players and compatible mobile phones. It also comes with a flat-folding front passenger seat and automatic lights and wipers. The Exclusive adds to that list with electric folding door mirrors, electro-chrome rear-view mirror and exterior courtesy lights.
Prices for the 3008 range start at £16,695 for the 1.6-litre, petrol-powered Active version. The Sport with the same engine costs an extra £1,200 while the top of the range Exclusive HDi 163 auto costs £23,095.
