Citroen has shown a facelifted version of its odd C5, featuring a more distinctive corporate nose treatment as seen on
the C4.
Bold double chevrons and boomerang lights fore and aft echo the looks of the C4 and Airstream concept shown earlier this year. Cabin updates include class-leading safety with seven airbags and a lane departure system as well as active headlights. Sales start in the autumn with existing engines and prices largely carried over.
Also new from Citroen is the range topping VTS variant of the C2. Citroen will hope the VTS can pick up where its Saxo predecessor left off by winning the hearts of Europe's youngsters. The 1.6-litre engine now offers 125bhp promising 0-60mph in the low eight seconds, with a top speed of 126mph. It hits the showrooms this week ready to do battle with the Lupo GTi and the forthcoming Fiesta ST, though at just £11,995 it should prove to be tough competition.
