Prices for Volvo's new V60 estate have been released. The range offers four trim levels: ES, SE and SE Lux. Standard features across the range include climate control, leather trim, cruise control and alloy wheels.
Opting for the SE model brings higher quality trim, Bluetooth, a better stereo and larger alloys. The SE Lux delivers new 'bending' headlights, electric seats and leather upholstery. R-Design models have sportier styling throughout, benefitting from 18-inch alloys, stiffer suspension and a lower ride height for a more involved driving experience.
There will be six engines on offer, four petrol and two diesel. The D3 and D5 diesel engines are available with manual or automatic transmission. Prices will start from £23,145 for the T3 ES model, rising to £37,895 for the flagship 304bhp T6 AWD SE Lux Geartronic Premium car. The R-Design models begin at £25,695.
Heading the petrol engines is the top of the range 3.0-litre T6, endowed with four-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. The 2.0-litre T5 unit offers a competent mid-range package, whilst the 1.6-litre T3 and T4 engines, both of which are equipped with engine stop-start technology and average 42.2mpg, front the budget end of the selection.
The most fuel efficient model will be the 202bhp 2.4-litre D5: with manual or Geartronic automatic transmission it will return 52.3mpg on the combined cycle. The same engine will reach 60mph in 7.5 seconds, peaking at a top speed of 143mph.
Customers can order the Volvo V60 now, and are expected take delivery in December this year.
