If you read the sentence underneath the headline you pretty much know everything there is to know: Ford will launch the Focus ST at the
Paris Motor Show. It will have 247bhp from a 2.0-litre turbocharged EcoBoost engine, and will be in showrooms by 2012.
A lovely looking thing it is too, right? Note the massive grille, rear spoiler and matching golden yellow brake callipers. Ford says it will be 'completely true to Ford's ST heritage, offering driving enthusiasts an intoxicating cocktail of exhilarating performance and handling accompanied by an addictive sound.'
The launch is intended to boost excitement in a car that was essentially launched at the
Detroit Show earlier this year - the Focus is now a global car, with only spec and suspension variations between territories.
Both Focus body styles - five-door hatch and estate - will be on display in Paris, as will the facelifted Mondeo (
which we've just driven) and the new C-Max (which we're driving next week).
