Ford has announced a new special edition Mondeo Sport to go on sale in time for the new '60' registration next month. Just 3,000 examples will be built and it comes with £2,000 of extra equipment.
The extra kit includes 17-inch alloy wheels, Europe-wide satellite navigation, a solar reflect windscreen and automatic lights and wipers. Customers can choose between 1.8-litre, 123bhp turbodiesel and 2.0-litre, 143bhp petrol power.
Prices start at £18,795 for the petrol or £19,495 for the diesel - £300 more than the equivalent Mondeo Zetec. The Sport will be built as both saloon and estate and goes on sale from 1 September.
