Luxgen, the Taiwanese car manufacturer, has just announced its second vehicle. The Luxgen7 SUV is, as the name implies, a sport utility vehicle; designed for those who believe 'biggest is best' with the largest exterior dimensions in its class - or so the manufacturer says.
That means an overall length of 4.8 metres while it is 1.93 metres wide and 1.76 metres tall. Inside, the passenger compartment looks spacious with no transmission tunnel between the rear seats. The chairs themselves are leather trimmed with heating, ventilation and massage functions available. The driver's seat even incorporates an anti-theft system; it moves forward until it touches the steering wheel when the doors are locked with the remote control.
Other items of equipment include the same Eagle View+ system fitted to the Luxgen7 MPV, along with lane departure warning and night vision. There is also a ten-mode, five-speed automatic transmission and an 'intelligent' four-wheel drive system.
Five models make up the range with prices from about £18,000 (converting from Taiwanese Dollars) with the most expensive version costing just over £26,600. Luxgen has not confirmed if it will bring either of its models to the UK.
