The Wind is about to breeze in. Priced from £15,500 for a Dynamique base model, up to £18,200 for a range-topping Dynamique S, there'll also be a limited edition called Collection for the first takers.
Deliveries start in July, but you can order one now. There'll only be 200 Collection models in the UK, which are packed to the brim with kit including carbon effect mirror caps, leather-faced seats, red and chrome inserts for the dash and aluminium pedals.
The Wind, which has a rotating hard top, comes with two engines, both petrol: a 1.2-litre TCe unit with 98bhp, capable of 44.8mpg, and the 1.6 VVT 133 engine as found in the
Renaultsport Twingo. That returns 40.3mpg and emits 165g/km of CO
2.
Dynamique spec seems relatively sparse, though it gets the full gamut of safety features like electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, a handful of airbags and stability control.
You'll need to add an S to make your Wind sweeter and more enjoyable. That gets a decent stereo with MP3-reading capabilities, 17-inch alloys, auto lights and wipers, an alarm, and Bluetooth.
