What is it?
An abomination. The hearts of Rolls-Royce's staff must have sank when Mansory pitched up within sight of the official Rolls stand and plonked this blue and gold nightmare on it. Looking like someone's left a five-year old with a car configurator Mansory's 'breathtaking individualisation' of the new Rolls-Royce Ghost is certainly striking.
Why's it here?
A good question, and one that many people in Geneva were asking. Perhaps more suited to a Dubai unveil, the Ghost looked wilfully out of place in Switzerland. As if the exterior isn't bad enough the interior is similarly finished, the result looking like how we'd imagine a 1970's pornographer would trim their bedroom.
Unapologetically flaunting your wealth might attract the wrong sort of attention, so Mansory has upped the V12's power by changing the turbochargers. Now delivering 720bhp and an incredible 752lb.ft of torque, this blue and gold nightmare can reach 62mph in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 192mph. Handy, if you're being pursued by the taste police.
Show stopper or floor filler?
What do you think? This thing had people flocking from all around for a look. Those seeing it could barely stifle either their laughter or shock. The Mansory was among the most talked about cars of the show. We're all for personal choice here, but really?
