It's not that we're competitive here at Car Enthusiast, but the thought of racing two Caterham Superlight R500s on Christmas morning fills us with seasonal cheer. Just think, one white and red R500 lined up against a yellow and black model, and both with Top Gear's Stig at the wheel: what better start could there be to Christmas day?
The 1:16 scale radio-controlled racers cost £19.50 each and are only available from Marks & Spencer, which is a much better use of this shopping emporium than underpants and socks.
Each model is a scale replica of the Caterham Stig drove so swiftly around Top Gear's test track and the two versions use different radio frequencies, so there's no danger of interference when racing the two R500s.
One things for certain, Car Enthusiast's Kyle and Mark will not be able to sleep a wink on Christmas Eve thinking about what Santa has brought them...
