Reva has announced that it will launch two new models at the Frankfurt Motor Show. A compact, four-seat family car and a targa-top two-seater will be unveiled on 15th September.
The NXR is Reva's 'family car'. It is a compact, three-door hatchback intended for town use. Production should start in early 2010. The second model, dubbed NXG, is scheduled to go into production a year later. The car is described as a sporty two-seater with a targa roof.
Along with new models there is new technology under the name REVive on show, which is essentially a 'reserve fuel tank' for electric cars. To help owners who run the batteries right down a quick telephone or text message to Reva will give them 'an instant remote recharge'. At the moment there is no further information on how this apparently impossible feat will be achieved.
We will find out more on 15th September at the
Frankfurt Motor Show. As well as information on pricing and technology Reva will launch its new website
Revaglobal.com where prospective customers can register their interest in the company's products.
