Now, every time we think about the
Ford Focus RS here at
Car Enthusiast it makes us feel all funny, so we're not sure what to make of someone called Graham messing around with it.
The Graham Goode Racing RS 320 is an engine tuning package for the mentalist Ford, which ups its standard 301bhp to a chunky 340bhp and takes torque up by 72lb.ft to a stonking 397lb.ft.
Now, it's all very well using words like 'chunky' and 'stonking', but you'll recall that getting 'just' 301bhp was a big deal even for the chassis masters at Ford - so we're quite worried about the fact that this 40bhp upgrade is simply a Superchips ECU remap, with nothing done to the drivetrain or suspension.
In fairness though, Graham Goode Racing (which is the name of the company, not a man) is a Focus RS specialist, so we're pretty confident it won't be unduly, ahem, frisky. We're promised a test car will be made available shortly, so hopefully we'll find out soon. In the meantime, the company is working on more power upgrades for the RS, including mechanical modifications. We're as excited about them as we are nervous.
