Another motor show, another Bugatti Veyron special edition. It seems like the company is now calling every car off its line a 'one-off'. The latest is called the Sang Bleu and it's based on the Grand Sport open-topped Veyron.
Built to celebrate 100 years of the company, Bugatti showed off the Sang Bleu to the sort of people who can afford it at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It differs from the
standard Veyron - and the plentiful other special editions - by having no paint, instead it wearing its aluminium and carbon fibre in naked glory. Highly polished in the case of the aluminium, and blue tinted carbon weave for the super lightweight bits. It's all enough to get the super rich reaching for their chequebooks. At least, that's what Bugatti no doubt hopes.
The firm hasn't announced whether it'll build the Sang Bleu in any greater numbers than the single car it showed in California. Though if you like the look of it - and the Gaucho leather interior and unique diamond-cut and blue alloy wheels the Sang Bleu specification brings - why not give them a call and see if Bugatti will build you one. Assuming you've got the £1m or so it's bound to cost. Failing that you could just wait a few weeks until Bugatti unveils another one-off.
