What's all this about?
It's an extra-special version of the Bugatti Chiron Sport, built to celebrate 110 years of Bugatti making cars. Thus, the newcomer is called the Chiron Sport 110 ans Bugatti and it features plenty of red, white and blue, in homage to the company's homeland of France. And yes, we know our history, before you come out with it - Molsheim, in the Alsace region of France, was once in Germany, the company is now owned by Germans (Volkswagen) and old Ettore himself, the founder of the brand, was Italian born. However, a Bug finished in black, red, yellow, green, red, white and blue might have looked a bit odd.
So is that all that's special about the 110 ans Bugatti? Just some tricolores?
If you mean 'is that all that's special about a car with 1,500hp and 1,600Nm', then no, no it's not. But we're guessing you want to know what makes the 110 ans Bugatti more exclusive than the, um... regular £2.36 million Sport. Well, here goes. Along with all the little French flags - and the whopping great one underneath the rear spoiler - the bodywork and front end of the 110 ans Bugatti is made from carbon fibre. This exposed stuff at the front is finished in Steel Blue Carbon, while the rear of the vehicle is in just plain Steel Blue, so if you squint really, really hard, you might notice the Chiron still wears its two-tone paintjob (just). The Bugatti radiator is crafted from aluminium, the fuel filler cap has been sandblasted, hand-polished and then given a tricolore stripe with a '110 ans Bugatti' logo, the alloy wheels are Nocturne matte black with French Racing Blue brake callipers behind them and the vehicle gains the Sky View roof as standard.
Right, and what about the cabin?
It's finished in Deep Blue with French Racing Blue highlights, plus carbon fibre on the nacelle, steering wheel and column, and also the seat trims. The wheel also boasts a 12 o'clock marker and a blue leather finish, while the key comes in a little pouch of sewn leather in - yup - red, white and blue. More '110 ans Bugatti' motifs are dotted about the place, while if you were to open the centre console (assuming you've got millions of spare cash in the bank and Bugatti wants to sell you one of these things), you'd find a specially crafted medallion made of solid silver with enamel inserts and positioned on a carbon-fibre plate.
All very nice. But the 110 ans Bugatti is, mechanically, no different from a Chiron Sport?
No, it isn't. But here, have some acceleration stats. The 110 ans Bugatti will do the 0-62mph, 0-124mph, 0-186mph and 0-248mph sprints in 2.4, 6.1, 13.1 and then 32.6 seconds. That quick enough for you?
It certainly is. How much is the 110 ans Bugatti and how many are going to be built?
No idea on the former, but we're guessing you won't be able to PCP one for £339pcm or similar. On the latter score, exclusivity is the key to this Chiron, as just 20 examples of the 110 ans Bugatti will be made.
