The Hyundai Coupe has been showing its age for a while now, so rather than try to mask that fact by trowelling on yet more slap, the maker has gone on a price-slashing bonanza. So now the Coupe is over £5,000 cheaper. Just bought one? How mad are you?
That means a 2.0-litre version can be had for just £12,995, which as it happens is £2,600 less than it cost in 1996 when the first-gen car was launched. That money buys kit including heated leather seats, 17-inch alloys and climate control. The top of the range TSIII version now kicks off at £14,295 with the discount, which is a very cheap way of buying into style over substance, if you're that way inclined.
Plus, you can get another grand off under the scrap scheme by taking advantage of the Government's half of the £2,000 scheme - the manufacturer element is already included in Hyundai's massive discount. It's not that daft.
