Saab has added a special edition model to the 9-3 range.  The Turbo Edition comes with extra equipment and a choice of turbocharged engines.  Prices start at £19,995 and it is available to order now.
The 9-3 Turbo Edition comes with a 148bhp, 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine or a 1.9-litre TID motor in three states of tune: 118bhp, 148bhp or 178bhp.  Combined cycle economy for the 148bhp 9-3 is 54.3mpg while CO2 emissions are 137g/km.  The twin-turbo 178bhp model uses only slightly more fuel at 53.3mpg and 139g/km.  The least powerful diesel engine uses fuel at a rate of 52.3mpg.  The petrol-fuelled model has the worst consumption and emissions at 38.2mpg and 177g/km.  
Equipment includes leather trim, heated front seats, climate control and a premium sound system.  On the outside, Turbo Edition models can be identified by seventeen-inch alloy wheels.  Automatic transmission is available as an option.
The Saab 9-3 Turbo edition starts at £19,995 for the 1.8t petrol model with the 178bhp 1.9TID SportWagon costing £23,576.60.  The first cars will be arriving at dealers in June and customers can place their order now.
