What is it?
It's a very cool metallic blue and very aesthetically exotic version of the world's second fastest car. (Or is it the third? Companies always seem to be claiming they've made something faster.) Whatever, the Bugatti is still the people's champ, and even though this one doesn't have any more power than the 987bhp standard car, it's visually perked up in quite a pleasing way.
Why's it here?
It's Bugatti's 100th birthday present to itself, which is handy because we hear there's a Smurf convention in Geneva next week. Obviously not, and we actually liked the strange concoction of matt and gloss 'Bugatti Blue' paint, aluminium wing mirrors and massive red brake callipers. And because even Veyrons aren't immune to a mid-life facelift, it also gets tweaks - LED lights, a rear view camera and parking sensors.
Show stopper or floor filler?
A Veyron should always be a show stopper, but to be honest it's getting on a bit now; that 'most unbelievable piece of automotive engineering ever' fairy dust has settled. So, this is pure floor filler we're afraid. Still, of the 300 Bugatti is making for £1.2m plus taxes, 250 have already been snaffled.
