The Tesla Model S electric sports saloon will be unveiled towards the end of March. A drivable prototype will be shown to current Tesla customers and selected VIPs first.
A teaser picture of the Model S has been released to whet the public's appetite. The cover obscures most of the detail but it is clear that the Model S has a low bonnet and sleek, fastback silhouette. Squint and it could almost be a scaled-down Maserati.
The covers will come off on 26th March at Tesla's design studio within the SpaceX rocket factory. Production is scheduled to start in 2011 with the first cars being offered at a substantial discount to current
Tesla Roadster customers.
