| Range updates | Citroen C2, C3 & C3 Pluriel |
Citroen has updated the C2, C3 and C3 Pluriel with modernised styling and a choice of upgraded trims, new equipment and body colours.
The C2 gains a new one-piece front bumper incorporating a reshaped radiator grille. Four trim levels are offered: Vibe, Rhythm, VTR and VTS. The Cachet special edition and the Rhythm are now fitted with lateral airbags as standard as well as an aluminium effect surround on the centre console.
Combining performance, economy and environmental credentials, the C2 VTS 1.6 HDi returns 64.2mpg and is fitted with a filter that virtually eliminates particle emissions. It can run on 30% bio-diesel, which means that it combines low emissions with the ability to utilise a renewable fuel. The VTR and VTS models now have the option of heated front leather seats and passenger seat-height adjustment.
Citroen's family hatch, the C3, is offered in Vibe, Rhythm and Exclusive versions. The C3 Rhythm features air conditioning, rain sensitive wipers, automatic headlamps, front folding armrests, front seat back pockets and aluminium effect exterior door handles.
Citroen has combined the 1.6 HDi engine with Rhythm trim, delivering enhanced performance with CO2 emissions of just 118g/km. Upgraded engines are also available on the C3 Vibe: 1.1i 60bhp, 1.4i 74bhp and a 1.4 HDi 69bhp.
The convertible C3 Pluriel is available in either Côte d'Azur or Code special edition guise. The Côte d'Azur gains aluminium effect roof arches, bumper inserts, side rubbing strips, a metallic front grille and revised front and rear lights. The interior has been revamped, with a polished chrome effect on the door handles and new upholstery.
In addition to standard equipment including front fog lights, leather steering wheel and electric door mirrors, the Côte d'Azur gains cruise control with speed limiter. The Pluriel Côte d'Azur is available with three engines - the 1.4i 74bhp, 1.6i 16v 108bhp SensoDrive and the 1.4 HDi 69bhp, which combines fuel economy of up to 67.3 mpg with CO2 emissions as low as 125g/km.
