Mountain Rescue (England and Wales) is celebrating its 75th anniversary in style with the addition of a Hummer H3 to its ranks. The Hummer has been donated to cover a variety of regions during 2008.

The H3 features some special modifications, including a revised grille and roof-mounted spotlights to make finding lost hill walkers easier. There's also extra protection for the sills, lower body and door panels to prevent damage when traversing tricky countryside.

Andy Simpson from Mountain Rescue (England and Wales) said: "We rely on charitable donations and the Hummer will be a fantastic asset to some of our busiest teams throughout 2008."
