| Special Edition | Not For British Market | Lotus Elise S 40th Anniversary Limited Edition |
If you live in Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium or Italy, you're one of a lucky few that will have the chance to buy a Lotus Elise S 40th Anniversary Limited Edition. As the name suggests, this car has been built to mark 40 years of Lotus car production at the firm's Hethel factory in Norfolk.
Only 50 of the Anniversary Elises will be made and all are finished in a unique Burnt Orange colour. Other distinguishing features include a painted rear diffuser and wheels, leather interior trim with orange stitching, an orange-coloured centre console, brake callipers colour-coded to the body, and individually numbered build plaque. To cap things off, every car will be signed by Lotus boss Mike Kimberley.
Prices vary according to which country the Anniversary Elise is sold on. The Germans get the best deal as their cars cost €39,995, which is equivalent to £26,800. The Germans also have the most cars allocated to them, with 15 on their way, while the French and Belgians receive five apiece.
Lotus fanatics in Holland have the worst deal as there are only a couple of Anniversary models headed there and they will cost a whopping €53,600 (£36,000) due to local taxes.
