So, you're driving along the A43 in your Hyundai Kona, your Mk5 Volkswagen Polo, your E90 3 Series or your Mk6 Ford Fiesta, and you see this hulking great shape on the road in front of you. Yep, it's the tremendously outlandish form of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, undergoing its first public-roads test session in the hands of Aston's high-performance test driver, Chris Goodwin, on the roads around Silverstone in Northamptonshire. Following this sojourn into the English East Midlands, engineers from Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies will embark on further real-world tests on the Valkyrie, ahead of first customer deliveries of the 1,000hp hypercar taking place in the second half of this year (Covid-19 permitting, presumably). And fear not, the Aston has already rolled its wheels in anger many times prior to this - for instance, getting a run-out at Silverstone itself, alongside its equally arresting Valhalla stablemate in 2019.
