What's this, then?
You mean these.
OK, what's these then?
Terrible grammar. Anyway, these are the Audi RS 5 coupe and RS 5 Sportback, and they've both just been given a small upgrade, just ahead of Christmas.
Oh? What did Santa bring them?
Well, there are some styling tweaks (new grille, new lights, including optional dark-background Matrix LED units, new side sills and new rear diffuser), new colours (Turbo Blue and Mango), and some updates to the interior (nice RS sports seats, plus the new 10-inch MMI touchscreen infotainment system from the A4).
What's under the bonnet?
Same as before - a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 with 450hp and 600Nm. That, thanks to quattro four-wheel drive and an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission, is good enough for a 3.9-second 0-62mph run, and a top speed on the naughty side of 174mph.
Anything else?
Oh sure. There's a new carbon-fibre roof panel that saves 4kg, optional RS Sports Suspension which comes with active anti-roll and three-stage dampers, and optional carbon-ceramic brakes too.
When can I have one?
Audi says 'in Germany and other European countries, the sale of the revised RS 5 models starts shortly', but we wouldn't delay - these are likely going to be in big demand with Audi enthusiasts.
