This year, Bentley turns 100. It has already celebrated by doing a special model of the Continental GT, called the Number 9 Edition by Mulliner. So what you have here is a special model of the Continental GT Convertible (GTC), called the Number 1 Edition by Mulliner. This time around, Bentley is looking back 90 years to the fabled No.1 Blower of 1929. So the GTC special, limited to just 100 units worldwide, comes in either Dragon Red II with a Beluga black hood and detailing (like the No.1), or an inverse colour scheme of Beluga with a Claret hood, if you're somehow against red cars. Even the 22-inch wheels and two-tone interior of these Number 1 Editions can be finished in either red or black, while standard kit for all (no matter the colour) includes a Centenary Pack, Bentley Black Line Specification, a Carbon Body Kit, 18-carat gold-plated exterior badging and interior organ stops for the ventilation system, a painted 'Number 1' grille, Grand Black veneers for the cabin, an Alcantara steering wheel and gear lever, a British Jaeger clock with a 'Number 1' face and 'Number 1' sill plates. Embedded in the Bentley Rotating Display dashboard is a piece of a piston from the No.1 Blower, and speaking of pistons you get 12 of 'em in a W-configuration in the GTC Number 1 Edition by Mulliner; it employs the mighty 6.0-litre 635hp/900Nm biturbo petrol engine found elsewhere in the Continental family.
