A quick history lesson, as a build-up to a teaser of new metal: around the turn of the millennium, Volkswagen bought Bentley. The first thing it did was to build the Continental GT coupe, which it quickly developed into a four-door saloon version it christened the Continental Flying Spur. By 2014, the saloon had dropped the 'Continental' bit of its name to stand alone and now we're ready for the Mk3 Flying Spur. It's pictured here in a few teaser images, ahead of its full reveal on June 11, and there's also a video of it in action during final high-speed testing, where it sounds like it'll have the 635hp/900Nm 6.0-litre W12 biturbo that's found in... yes, you guessed it, the current Continental GT. More tech details beyond this are thin on the ground, but we do know it will have all-wheel drive that defaults to rear-drive in most situations, the latest version of Bentley Dynamic Ride (air suspension, 48-volt anti-roll capabilities and so on)... and the first-ever application of all-wheel steering in a Bentley, which should make the Flying Spur agile at low speeds and stable at faster ones. It's designed to fit in between the Conti GT and the opulent Mulsanne.
