Toyota's US-only Scion brand displayed the funky Fuse concept at the
2006 New York Auto Show. The unusual body shape disguises its bulk by the use of a huge combined B/C-pillar, but actually seats four and is quite practical.
The concept car makes much use of advanced lighting technology to give the car different 'moods', as seen on previous Toyota concept cars. The rear end, which we think is reminiscent of the VW Ecoracer concept car shown at the
Tokyo Motor Show, features a multi-function hatch and rear deck. There is no sign of a Scion for Europe, but with regards to the US market, Scion has a habit of putting concept cars into production...
