2018-03-06: Renault wants you to EZ-GO in the future

What's all this about?

A video. In which you're looking at three people, all chatting casually and enjoying a relaxing ride on something that might be a train, or one of Heathrow Airport's Pods. Only it isn't a train or a pod.

Oh, what is it?

A car, or some form of variation on that theme. A Renault, to be precise, called the EZ-GO - and that's pronounced 'Easy-Go', of course, using the bastardised US version of the letter 'Z'. Ahem.

Calm yourself, grammarian, and tell me more about what, precisely, the EZ-GO is.

It's a concept car that Renault will unveil at the Geneva Motor Show at the beginning of March. The arrangement of the bench-like interior seating, the massive glass panels and the lack of an obvious human driver in the vehicle in this video should tell you enough - it's an autonomous, electric future vehicle. A Gallic Johnny Cab without the annoying prosthetic dummy, if you like, and Renault's conceptual take on 'shared urban mobility' in the years ahead. Funky, eh? Furthermore, Renault says that it has spent 120 years making life easier for its customers and the EZ-GO fits in well with the brand's Easy Life promise.

I am quite sure that it does. Is there anything else to add at this stage?

Watch the very brief teaser video of the Renault EZ-GO right here. Go on, treat yourself; it's only five seconds long.
