What's all this about?
Renault has expanded the Kadjar range with the new, flagship Signature S Nav version. The new variant costs £1,400 more than the Signature Nav model, with prices from £23,695, but gets extra equipment valued at £1,750.
In addition the Kadjar is now available with the 7-speed 'Efficient Dual Clutch' (EDC) automatic transmission, combined with the Energy TCe 130 engine.
What's included in the new trim level?
You get black leather upholstery with heaters in the front seats and electric height adjustment for the driver's chair. There is also blind spot warning, parking sensors, rear parking camera and hands-free parking. This is on top of features such as dual-zone climate control, 7-inch touchscreen and lane departure warning, which come with the Signature Nav model.
What about the new gearbox?
For the first time customers can order a petrol-powered Kadjar with automatic transmission. Models equipped with EDC cost £1,200 more than the equivalent manual model. Renault claims fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are close to the equivalent do-it-yourself gearbox; on the Signature S Nav the figures are 132g/km and 49.6mpg (manual 130g/km and 48.7mpg). The new engine and transmission combination can be ordered on models from the Dynamique Nav, priced from £21,395.
