What's all this about?
Jeep is 75 years old this year, and there is an anniversary edition of the Wrangler to mark the occasion. In addition, the whole Wrangler range gets a selection of upgrades, including Euro 6 compliant diesel engines.
What's new?
All Wranglers now get front side airbags, while Sahara and Rubicon versions come with deep-tint sunscreen glass and 18-inch satin alloy wheels. The Rubicon also comes with Mopar slush mats and black heated leather seats.
Prices start at £31,840 for the two-door Sahara 2.8 CRD auto rising to £34,910 for the four-door Rubicon 3.6 V6 auto.
How about the anniversary model?
Only 85 examples of the Wrangler 75th Anniversary special are coming to the UK, priced from £34,765 for the two-door 75th Anniversary 2.8 CRD auto. Although based on the Overland version there are a number of differences inside and out. There are three colours for customers to choose from: Bright White, Solid Black or Sarge Green. Other tell-tale signs are a bronze-finished front grille, body-colour dual top, bronze and orange Jeep badges and a 75th Anniversary badge.
Inside, there are part-leather seats embossed with '1941' and the upholstery is available in black or saddle brown and tangerine. It also comes with bronze interior accents, deep tinted sunscreen glass and satnav with an Alpine premium sound system.
