What's all this about?

With the Nissan GT-R arriving in India around January 26 - celebrated in the country as Republic Day, marking the creation of the Constitution of India in 1949 - the company has pulled off a world record to celebrate its introduction to the subcontinent.

Oh, what has it done?

In the hands of rally driver Rahul Kanthraj and using the dry, dusty bed of Sambhar Lake in Rajasthan as the canvas, the mighty GT-R has drawn the largest-ever outline of a country map recorded. Guess which country it drew?

Correct. The mighty map, roughly 1.86 miles long by 1.74 miles wide and with a perimeter of 9.14 miles, will go into the 2018 edition of the Limca Book of Records (the Indian equivalent of the Guinness Book of Records). That's a nice way to mark a car's arrival in a new territory, isn't it?

It sure is. Can I watch the map being drawn?

Of course, right here.
