What's all this about?

Nissan has launched the Qashqai Black Edition, the first special edition since the model's introduction in 2013. Available for a limited time, the Black Edition is a range-topping version with extra equipment and styling enhancements; prices start at £27,310. The Black Edition costs £450 more than the Tekna model on which it is based but comes with extras valued at £1,200.

How do you spot the Black Edition?

Look out for pearlescent black metallic paint, 19-inch black alloy wheels and a panoramic glass roof (a £400 option on other Qashqais). There are also front and rear styling plates, plus 'Black Edition' door sill guards.

What about the interior?

Black leather upholstery is standard as is the Nissan Connect infotainment system that provided DAB digital radio and satellite navigation. A variety of safety systems are also fitted; including the 360-degree Around View Monitor, Traffic Sign Recognition, Moving Object Detection and Driver Attention Alert.

Which engine does it come with?

You get the dCi 110 diesel mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and two-wheel drive. Official fuel consumption is 70.6mpg with CO2 emissions of 103g/km.
