2017-10-23: Stripped-back Porsche 911 Carrera T

What's all this then?

Porsche is adding some new options to the 911, the most potentially exciting of which is a power boost of 30hp for the Carrera S engine, bringing its total to 450hp - or about what the mighty 911 Turbo used to have...

For those with a smartphone fetish, Porsche is also increasing the 911's connectivity with a new, standard Connect Plus system. It comes with a built in SIM card that allows on-board internet access in 14 countries (yes, including the UK) and which also comes with an expanded phone-based concierge service in China and Japan, allowing such things as flight bookings and restaurant reservations to be made at 6,500rpm...

Both the power boost and the Connect Plus kit can be added to older models depending on he build date.

There are new colours too - Saffron Yellow Metallic and Crayon among the new paint options for the 911.

Anything else?

The Panamera will also get the new Connect Plus kit as well as new colour options including Burgundy Red Metallic and Ristretto Brown Metallic, while the Cayenne gets the option of Purpurite Metallic and Palladium Metallic, and can also be fitted with Connect Plus.
