What's all this about?
Nissan has released prices and specifications for the GT-R Track Edition; it gets a variety of features designed for track driving and a £91,995 price tag. The first customer cars are due to arrive by early November.
What do you get?
The Nissan GT-R Track Edition sits just below the flagship GT-R Nismo in the model range. Look out for the wider front bumper and 20-inch Nismo Racing Black forged aluminium wheels to identify the new version.
Helping to keep the tyres in contact with the road is Bilstein Damptronic suspension. This is designed to optimise straight-line and cornering stability. There is also a new lightweight anti-roll bar up front to increase body stiffness and reduce weight.
The exact specification of the Track Edition varies by market. UK cars come with the black and red Recaro seats from the GT-R Black Edition and a carbon spoiler as standard. A boot lid made from carbon and the carbon-backed seats are optional extras. In Germany the carbon-backed Recaro seats are standard, with a carbon rear spoiler available as an option.
One finishing touch applied to every version is the carbon Track Edition badge attached to the dashboard.
Anything else I should know?
The Track Edition is based on the 2017MY GT-R, which means it gets the revised styling, eight-inch touch screen for the interior and an 11-speaker Bose audio unit. All 2017 GT-Rs are powered by a hand-built 570hp 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine.
