New Cayman GT4 Clubsport can be ordered from Porsche, ready to race.
Oh good, well I have the easy solution for that. You can just toddle down to your nearest friendly Porsche dealer and order a new Cayman GT4 Clubsport. Based on the Cayman GT4 road car, it comes with a 385hp flat-six engine, seven-speed paddle shift PDK gearbox and a locking differential. There's also a fully welded in roll cage and a racing bucket seat with a six-point harness. Oh, and for stopping purposes, there are massive 380mm steel discs all-round, while the front suspension comes from the 911 GT3 Cup car. The whole lot weighs just 1,300kg so it should be pretty sprightly.
Sounds good, where can I race it?
The Cayman GT4 Clubsport will be eligible for the Pirelli World Challenge, the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA, the Ultra 94 GT3 Cup Challenge Canada and for club races run by the Porsche Club of America, as well as for other club-level meetings around the world. It'll go on sale after it's had its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month.
