Hot on the heels of the 253mph Bugatti Veyron, Ascari will launch an even more exclusive supercar in summer 2006. Ascari already produces the KZ1, complete with carbon fibre monocoque construction and a 500bhp 5-litre V8. The new car, tagged A10 at present, is actually based on Ascari's Spanish GT race car, and packs an uprated 5-litre V8 outputting 600bhp.
Ascari is currently carrying out development of the new A10 at Prodrive's test track in Banbury, as well as on Ascari's own racetrack, the RaceResortAscari. Naturally, the headline numbers get your attention: 220mph, 1280kg and £350,000... The most eye-watering number though is 50, the number of cars that will be produced. We hope to see one of them at the Autosport International show next month.
